When you're asked to create a wine menu for the same bar you got a fake ID to sneak into, you say yes. At least Wendy did. The result is an unfolding ode to the great artist Saul Steinberg: maps of Italy and San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood as seen from Tosca.

Edited by the Anna Holmes, founder of everyone's favorite feminist website Jezebel, The Book of Jezebel is a visual encyclopedia of lady things with contributions from fantastic writers and illustrators. Wendy's entry is only partially auto-biographical..

The Goods was a regular in newspapers across the US until Isaac and Wendy were asked to contribute some Pen & Ink fun to the mix when it immediately halted. McSweeney's say it wasn't because of them, which was generous, and they included Pen & Ink in The Goods Anthology book.

Wendy MacNaughton is an illustrator and a graphic journalist based in San Francisco. Her documentary series Meanwhile tells the stories of communities through drawings and the subject's own words, and is being published as an anthology by Chronicle Books in 2014. She's illustrated two other forthcoming books: Lost Cat, A True Story of Love, Desperation & GPS Technology, by Caroline Paul and Wendy MacNaughton (Bloomsbury, 2013) and The Essential Scratch & Sniff Guide to Wine, by Richard Betts (Houghton Mifflin, 2013).
She has degrees in fine art/advertising and social work from Art Center College of Design and Columbia University. When they let her, she likes to talk with students at Art Center College of Design, and she is an artist in residence at Intersection for the Arts.
